This group has been built to gather and provide a forum for all the bat lovers at a common place for discussion, draw their attentions and encourage them to provide fascinating insights into bat study and conservation. The knowledge on status of bats in Nepal is very poor and very limited work about bat has been done so far. Long misunderstood, bats still rank among the least-studied and least-loved animals in human society. Many people still view bats as eerie and demonic creatures. Now the time has come to work together to conserve this mammal. So please share your knowledge and information to this group.

About 50 species of bats are known to live and breed in Nepal. This comprises 41% of the South Asian and 5% of the global bat fauna.
