this is not unusual, the older kitty is asserting
his role as head of the house. as with any situation
like this, time is the only way to really tell. if it
seems like the younger kitty is hurting in anyway, then
you should talk to a vet. as for the claws, i
personally feel only in exstreme circumstances should a cat
be declawed (like allergies) leave the younger kitty
clawed. it is natural that they may fight in one form or
other. if the younger kitty hurts the older one with his
claws then, jsut treat the wound and move on. time will
settle the roles they'll play. don't worry to much,
kitties know the natural course of events far better than
we do. it's a good sign that the younger kitty has
warmed up to you, this will make it easier to kept track
of. one other thing, avoid canned air, or air horns.
kitties have sensitive ears. water is a better deterent
if nessicary. a little spray bottle or a little
squirt gun. something small, but that they can see and
know that it means "you better not do that." if you
have any other questions, you can come to my yahoo
group catnip_corner or the members here are great help
