Originally named the Alphine Sheepdog, Known today as the Bergamasco Sheepdog.
Bergamascos are also referred to as Cane Da Pastore Bergamasco - Berger Bergamasque - Bergamasker - Bergamasco herdehunden.

The Bergamasco Shepherd, having a 2000 year old heritage, is a dog of medium size with a rustic appearance having an abundant coat covering all parts of the body. He has a powerful and compact construction. This wonderful Italian breed is independent, proud and regal, with its Rebel Coat and Heart of Gold, makes a wonderful friend and companion for all those who have been lucky enough to open their hearts and homes to a Bergamasco.

This forum is dedicated as a place for Bergamasco owners to share stories, photos, advice and information. The forum is currently only open to Bergamasco owners.
