Hi! I have been a mommy of my cocker spaniel for 12 years. About two years ago
she started to go deaf and at first we thought she was being stubborn. We know
now she was really losing her hearing. A year and half ago she got glaucoma in
her left eye and we had to remove it. Just a month ago we noticed she was
having issues with her right eye. Took her to the ophthalmologist and started
the $85 Xalatan, $46 Dorzolimide, $4 Timolol, $4 Prenisolone. That worked for
about two weeks. Then she woke up one morning and started bumping into things.
Broke my heart! We just had the injection procedure done that stops the fluid
from being produced and were told that was an 85% chance of success.
I am still adjusting to having a blind and deaf dog. It takes us longer to do
things and hurts me to see her bump into things. I can't much info in the
stores about both blind and deaf... so I am looking for any and all support to
help her get along. She is my baby! I love her to pieces!
Just put some bubble wrap up in the spots that she frequently runs in to. Any
other suggestions?
Thanks
Melonie
