I most definitely will and truly appreciate the generous offer. Even if I don't venture to Africa for my Boerboel and just go to see it I will most definitely take you up on your offer.

Cheryl

You are welcome.
By the way Dapo I wasn't inferring in the least that you were in any way spreading the rumor about this. You stated clearly with your statement about what you'd heard that the source was unsubstantiated for which I respect you greatly for. Just a few extra works for clarification can make all the difference and I'm afraid I left a few words out when I presented the information.
I was very glad myself to find the news of his well-being. Nasir will always hold a special place in my heart for without his behavior issues and his being on the Dog Whisperer I don't know if I would've ever heard of the Boerboel breed. I am strongly considering naming my puppy Nasir should his personality match the name. I very much like the name. I will give my dog an African name for sure befitting his more than regal heritage. Africa I'm afraid has been a passion of mine since birth and maybe my love for the continent of Africa is one of the main reasons why I am so drawn to the Boerboel. I will visit Africa one day. It has been my lifes dream and one day I will go there.
Regards,
Cheryl

Dapo,
Your comments about Nasir of The Dog Whisperer fame being put down truly hit a nerve and I was determined to research whether or not this might be true. Here is a link below to a website with a report on Nasir's well being, although I wasn't able to determine the date it was written, personally written by the person who ended up adding Nasir to her pack. It in no way gives any indication that there are or were any serious issues with Nasir beyond the normal issues one might have with a large dog of a powerful breed. It sounds as if the current owner of Nasir has successfully integrated him into her pack and continues to practice what Cesar Millan taught her. She goes so far as to credit and thank Cesar for his wisdom and tutelage that has allowed her to successfully have the amazing Nasir in her life. If you recall Cesar found a few behavior discipline issues in her pack when he went to help her integrate
Nasir into her family and helped her and her husband correct them. So even an experienced 'dog walker' can be unaware of the power of the energy they share with a dog and a healthy way to correct unwanted behaviors.
I couldn't stop thinking about your comment that Nasir had to be euthanized and realized immediately if it were true the ONLY reason why he might've had to be put down was because Cesar Millan was no longer involved as a consultant to the owner of Nasir or Nasir had been been given to a different owner that didn't have the valuable experience necessary to keep a dog like Nasir and keep all other living things safe. However I've been unable to find anything on line so far to indicate that Nasir is anything but alive and well and well-balanced as a part of a happy healthy pack.
Here's the link to the website, the article and the personal letter from Nasir's owner below.
Again I have no idea how current this is but rest assured I will continue to research this allegation of Nasir's demise. Absolutely positively NOT because I am interested in proving anyone wrong but only because if there is a myth out there that Nasir was euthanized in spite of or maybe because of Cesar Millans involvement with him I would very much like to dispell it. Rumor is an ugly thing and when people are already dead set against someone or something they are more than willing to believe a rumor and to spread it.
