In memory of Marcie.....Our group is dedicated to dogs with osteosarcoma & other bone cancers and to their guardians who fight bravely. It is a place for support, comfort, guidance, learning, encouragement and hope. It was inspired by Rowdy Roddy Piper, a Rottweiler who lost his fight to bone cancer on September 2, 2004.

This week's Hero is Catherine's angel Chester:"He was 16 weeks old and a ball of black and tan fur. Eventually we got him a friend, Darcy, and they were inseparable, although Darcy was the boss. He loved going for walks paddling in the river, watching trains and chasing waves. Life was fun for Chester. He was diagnosed in May 2008. We chose pain management for him and he did well until November 2008 when we said goodbye. I'm sure Chester is here with us in spirit. Not a day goes by that I don't miss my beautiful hero, even one year later."
