Want a dog park up north? Join bones4dogs!

Bones4dogs is a dog advocacy group which helps address the need for Building Off-leash Northland Environments & Support for dogs! Our main focus is getting dog parks in the north region of KC and nearby communities. We work with many other dog advocates to help provide a collective voice as well as places to play with our dogs!

We believe off-leash environments:
allow people & dogs to exercise & socialize safely
promote responsible dog ownership
promote public health & safety
build better communities

Click on ‘Join This Group’ above on the right and help bring off-leash areas to the northland! All members must agree to work constructively in the group and be respectfully of others. The moderated list will be for individuals who have an interest in dogs, local dog activities/events, & a willingness to support off-leash environments.

Currently recommendations are being made for north region locations in KC (vote in our current poll). While not all park areas are deemed suitable for off-leash areas, bones4dogs will pursue and show support for appropriate areas of interest.

As designated areas become official off-leash environments our group will continue to show support by helping maintain proper usage and act as a liaison between off-leash area users (dog owners) and the area providers (city parks&rec., etc…).
