Dog walkers and any users of Howe Farm

There will be a meeting to discuss plans for Howe Farm on Wednesday,
December 13, 2006 5PM at Long Lake Community Center. (North end of Long
Lake, just a little west of Long Lake Drive and Bodle).

We will be discussing a proposal from South Kitsap Schools, Kitsap Dog Parks
and WSU on how to get a bunch of projects going at Howe.

I'm excited by the energy and enthusiasm of the SKS staff I've met, the
prospect of free labor to get a lot of the Stewardship's projects going as
well as those in the dog park. Most of us work full time jobs and the time
to go build paths and fences and so forth is really limited.

I'm also excited about the prospect of the schools participation in the dog
park and to many families being exposed to what off-leash areas are about.
Hopefully, we'll see school participation in things like dog agility,
grooming, showing, police dog demonstrations and training, tracking and who
knows ...
