Hello David,
I was there on Saturday, with my Saint Bernard Romo and observed the altercation. The younger dog that was attacked was a white long haired mix called "Troubles" and was taken to Bethel Animal Hospital. Troubles was there with another 8 month old black longhaired pup, don't recall his name.
I stopped at the animal hosp. on my way home and spoke with the owner. At that time, it sounded like the dog was going to make it. I sure hope that is the case.
It looked to me like it was mostly a brindle colored pit bull that was doing the damage, but there were two tan ones in there as well. Didn't catch any names, we were steering clear from the whole mess as soon as we came in. There were just too many unbalanced dogs in one group, and the pups with their enthusiasm and weakness got it. Too many owners not dog experienced or responsible as well.
And unfortunately, none of those owners came outside to help the older couple with the pups or offer assistance. Things do happen sometimes, but it sure would have been nice for the pit owners to have stepped up.
Romo and I sure enjoy Bandix and appreciate it's existence. I hope this incident won't cause problems for the park and that somehow future ones can be avoided. Usually it is such a nice time there.
Hope the little guy makes it.

Subject: [bones_dog_park] bad altercation at the park on Saturday
Hello all
It has been reported to the board members that three pit bulls
attacked and badly injured a young dog on Saturday. The information I
have is that there is a good chance that the victim will not survive.
If anyone knows the owner(s) of the pit bulls, please email the
information to dogpark@vici.com so that the owners of the young dog
will have an opportunity to try to recover the vet charges or pursue
whatever legal recourse they see fit.
Thanks
