Hi, I do shave downs for the local humane society when they get in really matted cats. I try to work with a 10 blade as that is pretty hard to nick the skin....

You can use any of the multiple interchangeable blades sold by Oster, Andes, Double-K, etc. For cats you will need a 10 blade. Anything bigger could pinch...

I bathe my kittens and adults the EXACT same way for show bathes. It IS quicker, I think, w/ a kitten than an adult because an adult has a larger area to wash...

Sometimes Goop can be too harsh on the young coat, you might want to try Grease Magic.  It rinses out like it was never there and ads volume to a long coated...

There is only one type of Grease Magic but I have been using it for about 6 yrs and love it.  You can mix it in with shampoo but I use it on a dry coat then...
