Re: [colonyraisingrabbits] introduction

Colony rabbit raising is to maximize multiplication not limiting it.  One male with ''all his lady friends" getting pregnant as often as possible.  Your daughter will certainly learn about the bunnies if not the birds and the bees too.  Neutered might not make much difference in the learning experience unless they are very young bunnies.

I am very interested in colony raised rabbits. As of now, our rabbits are in cages inside a stall at night, and in seperate outdoor runs during the day. None of our rabbits have been "fixed" as of yet. I have many questions about the "how to" of colony raised rabbits. I am guessing you need to spay and neuter. Will this keep older rabbits who have not grown up together from fighting?
Is there a book about colony raising rabbits? Perhaps a web site?
Thanks so much for any help!
