Life is too short to wake up with regrets.  So love the people who treat you right.  Love the ones who don't just because you can.  Believe everything happens for a reason.  If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.  If it changes your life, let it.  Kiss slowly.  Forgive quickly.  God never said life would be easy. He just promised it would be worth it.

 Hi All,
Wishing everybody a very happy and healthy 2008..............am a bit late, but spent so much time texting and ringing last night, didn't actually get to PC, apart from doing a MEGA mass delete!! Like thousands of mails, so am very behind...............hope all had a GREAT New Years Eve. For me, it was the first NYE in 3 years that I didn't sit and break my heart, so am feeling good about that.
Tried to find a nice NY background, but they were all manky, so just got  an ordinary one!!
Love and hugs,

hi,

ok - technically rusty should be your top dog, however, grizzley seems to be vying for that position with you.

since grizzley is ok with rusty when they are not around you. you should put a stop to him growling when rusty approaches you. grizzley is trying to take up all your time and attention and sideline rusty in the process. If you make it clear to him that both him and rusty will get equal attention and put a stop to him growling or misbehaving towards rusty.

if grizzley growls - there's 2 options: one you can wrap your fingers around his muzzle, look him in the eye and tell him in a very stern voice "NO". two, ignore him completely if he misbehaves and refuse to give him any attention.

not sure if i made myself clear and understandable. mail me if you have more questions.

good luck,
arman.

Your one dog who is growling - is wanting to have you all to himself and does not want to share you with the other dog. However, when there's no question of sharing your attention or love, he has no problem with the other dog which is when he's loving and kissing up the other one.

What would really help to give you good advise on this one is - please tell us the name, age, sex and how long you have had the two dogs and who came first and who came second. Once I get more info on the dogs I can probably give you advise on how to handle this behavior issue - and it should be handled before it gets out of hand.

take care,

I have a 23 month old shepherd and he is very good puppy. He is not
very nice to my other dog. He growls at him when he comes near me. But
he will go to him and kiss,& love on him can't figure that out.

hi angie,

welcome back !! the group has been extremely quiet really with nothing much happening here. guess people are busy with all sorts of things.

i got my second promotion in ericsson, so now i am the manager of a department that is a 45 mill usd impact per year. so work is hectic, sometimes trying and frustrating but i think i hit the ground running, so i'll be up and about and comfy handling the new role in a month or two. meanwhile, its been all about reorganizing, training and reporting.

all the kids - fur and skin - are doing well. we are seeing the beginning of winter here with the temperature gone down to 24 degree celcius.

the cyclone has devastated parts of the country but thank God no one i know (Family or friends) were hurt in it. however there's about 2.3 million ppl living under the open sky - waiting for food aid to reach them. there's been a lot of national mobilization to get people to pitch in and help and its heart warming to see the way people are coming forward with anything they can do or donate to help.

anyway all.... gonna get off my soap box and hope that i'll get the time to be on here more often.

take care,
arman.

We made it back home about a week ago and Jaime is much happier to be home.
She is doing well and healing up. She can get in her wheel chair now for a
while and she can walk around with the walker that Deborah lent her. We are
actually just getting ready to go into town and take her shopping. She can
get in the car pretty good and she can sit in her wheel chair for about 30
minutes pretty comfortable so it is nice to get her out of the house.

I have some super exciting news. I am going in on a trial for a new job on
Thursday and Friday next week. My friend works at the new vet clinic in
Grand Forks and she got me an interview with them last week. So they are
bringing me in on a trail next week and I am going to shadow the vet
assistant during some surgeries because they want to be sure that I won't
pass out during a surgery. The plan is that I will work partly as the
receptionist but over time also learn how to be a vet assistant. I told the
vet that I am very interested in that and that I will take a course at home
if she would like and she actually knows of a really good course for me to
take. So I am really excited! I'll let you guys know what happens.

Bubba the mortician

A man who just died is expertly delivered to a Kentucky mortuary wearing an expensive , tailored black suit.  Bubba the mortician asks the deceased's wife how she would like the body dressed.  He points out that the man does look very good in the black suit he is already wearing.

The widow however, says that she always thought her
husband looked
his best in blue, and that she wants him in a blue suit.  She gives Bubba a blank check and says, "I don't care what it costs ,
but please have my husband in a blue suit for the viewing."

The woman returns the next day for the viewing.  To her delight she finds her husband dressed in a gorgeous blue suit with a subtle chalk stripe; the suit fits him perfectly . She says to Bubba, "Whatever the cost, I'm very satisfied.  You did an excellent job and I'm very grateful.  How much did you spend?" To her astonishment, Bubba presents her with the blank check.

"Dere's no charge," he says.

"No, really, I must pay you for the cost of that
exquisite blue suit!" she says.

"Honestly, ma'am," Bubba says , " it didn't cost me a ting.  You see, a deceased gentleman of about your husband's size was brought in shortly after you left yesterday, and he was wearing an attractive blue suit. I asked his missus if she minded him going to his grave wearing a black suit instead, and she said it made no difference as long as he looked nice."

"So, I just switched the heads."

They would have fused some vertebres together but because her back
is broken in two places, apparently it wouldn't have worked. So they
gave her the brace instead. Yesterday we found out that her spinal
cored was narrowed by the L4 which was crushed. Today we found out
that a little fragment of the bone from the L4 actually went into
her spinal cord. Apparently the lower spinal cord is like spaghetti
so when the bone went through all the little pieces of the spinal
cord moved away. Had this happened on the top of her back she would
have been in a really bad situation. I'm not very good at explaining
things so hopefully that made sense.

Jaime is healing though and every day she gets a little better. She
is suppose to be able to come home on Friday. So far she has not had
any problems with her legs or toes at all. She has complete feeling
and no numbness at all.

I just came back from the hospital to put some clothes in the wash
then I'm heading back to spend another night there.

Thanks for your kind words.

Take care,
Jess
