This is a group created for learning and sharing information on the captive care and breeding of Diamondback Terrapins (Malaclemys terrapin sp.). Please feel free to share your successes and failures as they are both integral components of the learning experience. We can share what we have learned about raising and breeding these turtles and if we are lucky we can share our egg incubation and hatchling stories as well. If we can become successful captive breeders then hopefully we can reduce the demand on the wild population. Maybe someday we can stop collection from the wild altogether.
