I am wondering if it could be seizure activity? Does she drool too and
otherwise appear to be starring into space? Next time you take her to the vet,
ask them that directly.

Our Dog chewed and swallowed a lead weight out of a curtain, that cause very bad seizure activity and one of the symptoms that came with it was the snapping...
