Over the years the Weimaraner has become mainly either all field or all show. The original purpose of our breed is being lost by these extreme positions. The show breeders won't breed into field because they say the field dogs are ugly and unhealthy; the field breeders won't breed into show lines because they say they cannot hunt.

Dual Weimaraners is a program supported by Weimaraner lovers all across the USA who have joined forces to promote correct conformation and field ability in the SAME dog. We range from 40 yrs experience to those with their first show and field dog.

Our goal is to provide a discussion group for owners, breeders and trainers of Dual Weimaraners and for those on the road to their first Dual Weimaraner. We want to provide a platform for encouragement, to broadcast, showcase and discuss our dual purpose dogs and bitches. Our mission is to encourage Weimaraner owners to breed and train for Dual Weimaraners. Anyone who shares these interests is welcome to join our group. We can also help with show and field training.
