Dear Euro seawatchers,

Would you like to encounter whales and dolphins up close this autumn?

Now you can by Joining ORCA on the Big Whale Watch as we sail across
the Bay of Biscay at a bargain price from just £99!

As part of our developing partnership with Brittany Ferries, ORCA has
teamed up with expert guides from Planet Whale onboard the luxury
flagship cruise-ferry, Pont Aven to bring you our first Big Whale
Watch! So why not join us as we sail between Plymouth and Santander,
cruising through some of the richest waters in Europe for whales,
dolphins and seabirds.

This is the perfect introduction to whale watching, with hundreds of
dolphins and whales sighted on a typical trip. On board your friendly
guides will help you spot all kinds of amazing marine life, with deck
watches, wildlife presentations, and optional excursions in Spain.
But that's not all! You can also get involved in whale and dolphin
research with our survey team, take part in any one of a number of
fun activities for all the family run by our Wildlife Officer, or
simply mingle with ORCA volunteers, staff and trustees as part of the
extended ORCA family!

Alternatively, step inside and enjoy the kind of service and
facilities normally only found on cruise ships, including leisure bar
areas, stylish shopping malls, a wide choice of dining and superbly
appointed en-suite cabin accommodation

Cruise Dates

• Depart from Plymouth Sunday 28 September at 16.00
• Arrive in Santander Monday at 12.30
• Depart from Santander Monday at 16.00
• Arrive in Plymouth Tuesday at 10.00

As a result of the survey work carried out by Plymouth – Santander
Marine Survey, and in recent years also by ORCA, Brittany Ferries'
Plymouth to Santander route has developed a reputation for crossing
some outstanding habitats for whales and dolphins. From the
comparatively shallow English Channel to the 4000m deep Bay of Biscay
and the gigantic submarine canyons off the northern Spanish coast,
marine wildlife is unusually abundant. Typical trips include Fin
Whale - the second largest whale on earth, Sperm Whale – made famous
through the story of Moby Dick, Pilot Whales, and several types of
dolphin racing in to the bow.
