Cap Gris-nez today : Ferruginous Duck and more   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #431 of 450 |
Hi,
An adult Ferruginous Duck Aythya nyroca past Cap Gris-nez today (21/08/2008)
within a small group of Common Scoters.
This is a very unusual seawatching sighting here as it represents only the
second "at sea" record in Northern France (previous one also at CGN on
28/04/2006). No records in Belgian waters so far and only one record (for
more thant 90.000 hours of seawatching in the database) at sea in The
Netherlands.
Also 11 Balearic Shearwaters (already more than 60 this year), 3 Pomarine
Skuas, ... Full counts on
http://www.trektellen.nl/trektelling.asp?telpost=148&land=3&site=0&taal=2
Record shot this evening on http://seawatchcgn.free.fr
Regards
Nicolas
