I was at the trial too. The organizers (chairman
Jeanine Blaner) can be congratulated for doing a first rate trial. This
was their first AKC trial. The secretary was totally prepared and able to
take care of any issues that came up. The course director (who I sat
next to) was on pins and needles, afraid she would forget to
open the panel for the started class. Course changes were smooth with
plenty of help. Stock handlers did a great job. The food (of course my
first thought) was wonderful! Saturday was perfect weather and Sunday a
bit gusty, as Peggy's place usually is. An easy rise that was not
staked down took flight during lunch. The test sheep were a bit light and
the trial sheep were challenging, but workable. The ducks were fine
(as only ducks can be). If the dogs were a bit slow on the uptake or in
the wrong spot they headed for the draw at the z end of the arena.
I took
There were 30 trial runs and 7 HIC tests after the trial.
I look forward to going back. Janie

Our friend Sherry Rand perched on her VERY tall stool for 2 days to get
these. THANKS, Sherry.
