Description

This group is for people who are caring for Cornish X chickens, commonly called 'Broilers'. These chickens are the ones you see crowded in tiny cages that are stacked onto semi-trucks being shipped to slaughter. They are also the ones you see on the side of the road where they have escaped from the truck's cages. Most do not make the fall but the ones that do are sometimes picked up by caring people who want to give these birds a better life than they have ever known and if that’s you then you have found the right place.
Here we will discuss medical problems, diet, exercise and all other care.
If you are caring for a Cornish X and do not plan on raising them for slaughter you are welcome here. You do not need to be a vegetarian or a vegan to be in this group, but an animal friendly diet does help the chickens out! :)
You will not be permitted to join or shall be banned if you are here to harass or belittle those in this group.
If you have found a Cornish X chicken and can not care for them, we also have a growing database of people willing to care for these very special birds.

Re: chicken health
OK That does sound reasonable but I wonder just how many people just search through for what they want without actually intending to buy. It really is so

Re: chicken health
Its the same as skimming through a book at the book store. They don't put those books behind glass. They want you to look so you want to buy. I'd never

Re: chicken health
Very interesting... I recently learned that in some (human) families there is an inherited gene mutation that prevents potassium from being absorbed and used
