LYMPHOMA - Complimentary & Supportive medicines/therapies   Message List

I think the subject line says it all.

Since chemo has a history of not working too well for ferrets, more
than anything, we are interested in giving him the best quality of
life possible. (We are looking into the TUFTS protocol but he as
other health issues too.)

In response to my post about this on another forum, someone whose
opinion I trust suggested I try the "glandulars protocol" as
outlined in THE NATURE OF ANIMAL HEALING as a complimentary
procedure. Although the book is written from the perspective of
treating dogs/cats, we all know there are a lot of crossovers in
vaccinating, the treatment of diseases, etc. when dealing with dogs,
cats and ferrets.

The book was written by a holistic DVM by the name of Dr. Marty
Goldstein. So my question is has anyone tried this "glandular
protocol" with ferrets?

And if not, are there any other complimentary or supportive therapies
for ferrets that you can recommend that have been successful for you or
someone you know?

Our deepest thanks for any suggestions,
md
