Happy thanksgiving everyone :)
i was wondering if anyone else felt like at day 14 with your bred does that you
felt like you were pretty sure you felt the babies but at day 28 not so much at
all?? is that normal. thanks so much.
I keep my bucks far away from each other because if one sprays they start a contest. So far I've been "Buck Spray free for 3-4 years" now.
I also don't have my cages close together. They are about 8 inches apart,I don't get wire biting, chewed fur or chewed ears this way.
I installed an exhaust fan that blows air out. I also keep a windows open a couple inches. Not enough to let raccoons or weasels in. I put a screen to stop Squirrels or mice from getting in.
I also use Pelleted wood shaving in my wire bottomed cages. The pelleted wood shaving dry out when peeped on unlike regular shavings.
So no smell. They become the texture of coffee grinds so they are easy to use in the garden. Cost the same as regular. I only use a cups worth in the corn that the rabbit pees in.
I don't fill the whole tray.
Baking soda in the trays of the wire bottom cages work well too.
Some breeders don't use any bedding and swear that it is less smelly because the trays dry.
Other breeders use Puppy pads.
Still others use litter boxes and dump them every night.
Hope this helps.

What God purposes he will surely do! He says that he "did not
create [the earth] simply for nothing," but "formed it even to
be inhabited." (Isaiah 45:18)
What kind of people did God want to live on the earth? And for how
long did he want them to live here?
The Bible answers: " the righteous themselves will
possess the earth, and they will resideforeveruponit." Psalm 37:29; Revelation 21:3,4 Obviously, this has
not happened yet. People now get sick and die; they even fight and kill
one another. Something went wrong.
Surely, however, God did not purpose that the earth should be as we see
it today!
What happened?
Why has God's purpose not been fulfilled?
No history book written by man can tell us because the trouble started
in heaven...

Have you looked on the AFL website for a breeder?
You may just have to drive.

Otherwise I find what I need at Convention or the Nationals

Click on Spinning Books
also Contact you locate community center, fair or 4H.
Ask if there is a spinning giuld around.
It's better to to be taught how to spin than try learning from a book.
Ask angora breeders or sheep breeders who they sell thier wool to (spinners?)
may will spin.
Also any local heritage group.
I do know you can dye any kind of wool using kool Aid.
It's a cheap and popular why to dye.

Sire is Schmitt's Tuffy (Granded with 14 legs). Dam is Sin's Gracie (Granded with 3 legs). Turns senior on Sunday, 11/15. Likely brood only - decent type, but right on 4 lbs now.
Please email privately if interested. Will be at Marshfield, WI, on 11/14 - but could possibly also bring her to Janesville, WI - Thanksgiving Weekend and/or New Year's Eve show, or New Lenox, IL, in early December...

My experience with rolled oats is that if you give them too much it will create a blockage and it could kill the rabbit. Poops get smaller and smaller till they arent going at all.

i have heard that about oats too (an increase in enteritits) but i thought it was supposed to help loose stools.. i get so confused. the more i read the more lost i am lol ----- Original Message ----- From: "Linda M Parsons" <Kharisma@juno. com> To: fuzzylop@yahoogroup s.com Sent: Tuesday, November 3, 2009 7:16:46 AM GMT -08:00 US/Canada Pacific Subject: Re: [fuzzylop] wheat germ oil
I have been using smart balance oil with 20% VE, about 2T in a bucket of feed
Altough I have not seen a increase in production.
I also add Calf Manna, a big handful mixed in a bucket of feed. When I can get it wheat. I used to put oats until I was told that madew them potty.
for any of you who use wheat germ oil for conditioning or fertility- how often and how much do you use? i found this great article on it and how much to use but of course not that i have the oil i cannot find the article lol
