The Genetta cat is a new breed of exotic feline designed to resemble the small or large spotted genet. It is a short statured cat with a short glittered pelt featuring rosettes, spots, or marbled patterns. Future goals for the Genetta are a long neck, long weasel-like muzzle, and distinctive rings on a very long tail. The temperament of a Genetta should be friendly, playful, and very social to people and other pets. While the Genetta cat is a hybrid breed, genets have not been used in the breeding program at all. The Genetta was founded by Shannon Kiley of Pawstruk cattery in 2006.
