This is a list for rescue and placing specifically livestock guardian dogs -- Anatolian Shepherds, Akbash, crosses of guardian breeds. Listings of dogs needing assistance, foster homes, people who are looking for a dog, people interested in participating in rescue of these large dogs, people who have to give up a livestock guardian breed encouraged. No flames, spam. There has not been a list dedicated to these dogs so I decided to create one. Please keep postings to guardian breeds. No animal rights related postings...this includes anything from HSUS, ADL and other organizations that get donations from animals but work to restrict and judge our use of them. This list is for *working* dogs or dogs that can go to a *working* home. If you list a dog who needs help there *must be* contact info and someone who will help. This is *not* limited to just "official" "rescues" - which are sometimes difficult to get a dog from. This was designed to be a network of people who want to connect dogs needing homes with permanent working homes.
