Hi,
I encourage you to join this theme with your areas worldwide.
I am able to get sometimes some animals from some European countries
to another ones and if we will see chances, it's more easy to change
hamsters (or other small animals)!
Yes. Of course, they must be healthy the first to don't spread
illnesses as well... and I will recommend all Syrians keepers to get
7 months quarantine always... and in others are 2 months good as
well for every case.
I am from Czech Republic and I am able to be in contact with these
countries: Slovakia (often - monthly), Hungary (often - 6x a year),
Denmark (often - minimally 4x a year), sometimes Germany, Sweden and
Finland (Finair allows rodents to planes in quite good price).
What we have here:
Syrians: all except Hairless (hrhr) and those genes thought to be
extinct - Piebald (ss) and Ruby Eyed (ruru). And we also miss those
found only in labs... as everybody - Jute etc. And we miss 6 quite
common genes Dark Grey (dgdg), Extreme Dilute (cece), Rust (bb), Rex
(rxrx), Recessive Dappled (rdrd) and Roan/White Bellied (Whwh).
Campbells: we have Black (aa), Argente (pp), Albino (cc), Mottled
(Mimi). And now also 2 pieces of Black Eyed Argente (bb) and Opal
(dd) thanks to Petri from Finland.
WWs: Saphire (dd) and Pearl (Pe_)
Chinese: Dominant Spot (Dsds)
I am mostly Syrian hamster breeder but I am in contact with people
who breed others as well. The first I am breeding for genetics and
health and then after these both for show quality.
