Harmony House is the second oldest no-kill cat shelter in Chicago. Founded in 1970 by a group of dedicated animal lovers. They established the shelter as The Animal Protective Association later renamed Harmony House for Cats. The shelter is a warm cage-less homelike environment where the cats can relax and be their charming selves while awaiting their "Forever Home" All the feline residents receive any and all medical service or treatment necessary. All cats are neutered or spayed, kept up-to-date on vaccinations, checked and medicated for fleas and worms and all are micro-chipped. Our trained adoption counselors know the personalities of all the cats and make every effort to match the perfect cat to the perfect new home.
