Help! Naked Hermie..she's alive but without a shell!   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #75403 of 75674 |
I am so sorry to bombard the group, especially since I post so
infrequently...but one of our approximately 1 yo hermies was in the salt water
dish without a shell!
I took her out and put her in a quarantine crabitat with lots of fresh coco
fiber, shells and moss...she went right into the cocoa hut and I am wondering if
she was trying to surface molt or if she was too hot or whatever...the temp and
humidity levels are stable...same as always.
Any insight? Should I just leave her alone? She wasn't timid and crawled on my
arm almost like she was snuggling..went right to me when I picked her up...but
as I said she is not in a separate private crabitat under the cocoa hut.
THANKS!!
Lisa
