Heart of Dixie Akita Rescue covers primarily North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee,and Kentucky. We do network all over the southeastern United States and have helped Akitas in Arkansas, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi in addition to our primary area of coverage.

This group is the primary means of communication for the work of Heart of Dixie Akita Rescue. If you are interested in assisting HOD in anyway including volunteering (no skill is too small to be useful), fostering, house checks, evaluations, shelter pulls, transport, fundraising, etc please submit a subscription request. These usually take 1-2 days to process.
