Dear Horse Owners,

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to send something out. I'm sure the
last thing you want to do is waste time reading my excuses..... I must
confess that simply taking care of The Resource Center is enough to
keep any two people busy, and the heart surgery I had a few months back
didn't help. But life goes on.

I do intend to send out a real, organized, and informative Farrier &
Hoofcare Resource Center Newsletter in the very near future, and with a
little luck am aiming at trying to keep to a quarterly schedule. If you
would like to contribute to the Newsletter in any way, please don't
hesitate to contact me. I can use the help.

A few things I'd like to mention before closing:

1) The Farrier & Hoofcare Resource Center On The Road Program is
gaining steam. We're already scheduled to give clinics in Sturgeon Bay,
Wisconsin on September 11 and 12, and the UMHA clinic in Burlington,
Wisconsin, on October 9. Another one is in the planning stage for
Wyoming in the Spring. I hope Danvers Child and I see you at one of
these functions. If your horse/pony association would like a good
clinic on the subjects of Farrier and Hoofcare Resources On The Web, as
well as a more traditional hands-on farriery demonstration, contact me.
There's info available in the Resource Center in the On The Road
section.

2) I think I've finally found a really good group audio application for
chats. Using this application we'll be able to hold excellent online
forums and educational seminars. Of course you can use it any time to
talk over the Internet to anyone else with the program, free. No long
distance charges. And the program is free as well. I urge you to go to
www.firetalk.com and down load the program and install it. (Sorry, it's
a Windows program. Hopefully they'll do a Mac version soon.)

After you install it and get your FireTalk ID number, please send it to
me by e-mail so I can add you to my contact list. It will make inviting
you to the seminars much easier.

Have to run! 31 bulletin boards to clean up.....

Regards,
Baron
