Hui Pono HoloHolona (HPH) is a volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit tax deductable organization dedicated to making available no-cost or truly affordable spay and neuter services for dogs and cats on the island of Hawai'i. Become a volunteer, its easy and fun.

Our goal is to humanely decrease animal overpopulation which will in turn decrease animal abuse, animal abandonment and unnecessary euthanasia of healthy animals at the shelters. Keaau Shelter has the highest ongoing euthanasia, more than Kona, more then Waimea. Our community needs to come into the 21th Century and support humane alternatives then to catch and kill. All preventable if this community offered truly low cost spay/neuter for all.

Our goals: We need your help in our goal to acquire 20 acres for a community interactive animal sanctuary/shelter. HPH will establish on site a spay/neuter clinic specifically to offer no cost/low cost animal sterilization and teaching facility. Our endeavor is to create and maintain a safe environment where our children will have a place to learn and practice pet responsibility with kindness, including dog agility, competition course, and having our elders teach the fine are of Ho'o ponopono(defusing anger/disputes with dialogue and patience). We would also provide for this community a horse therapeutic program for abused and handicapped challenged individuals.
