Dear Animal lovers and animal caregivers, we have an ongoing Crisis here at the Keaau Transfer Station. As of November 15, Bobby Jean Leithead Todd of the Deparment of Envirnonmental Management will prohibited us from feeding the cats there and to our ongoing Trap Neuter Return Management. We have been informed to move the cats or they will have HIHS do it. All shelters and feeding stations will be removed on Nov 15,.
I am sending you 3 separate emails, this is the first with my letter explaining the ongoing agreement with Mayor Kim, and successful ongoing TNRM program there, and the Vacuum Effect.
The 2nd email to you will have 3 letters, Bobby Jean Leithhead Todds Oct 9 eviction notice, Bob Jacbson supporting our program, and Shipmans letter that falls silent to any removing of the animals.
The 3rd is the lease agreement between Shipman and the County. Its for your reading and falls silent on any animal concerns there. Please review all information being sent your way, I need your help and support. Please start contacting any and all on this matter. Including Deparment of Environmental Management 961-8083 / fax is 961-8086 http://co.hawaii.hi.us/directory/dir_envmng.htm
You can reach me at 968-8279 its also a fax machine. Without your help these animals are doomed, we have no place to take them and cats that come after will face neglect, and starvation. Frannie Pueo President of Hui Pono Holoholona - www.hphhawaii.org
