Aloha HPH Volunteers & Members, Nov -2008
2008, has been an incredible “good”, year for Hui Pono Holoholona, and wish to thank all of you for your support & donations, and hope you find our newsletter Punahele” (attached) as always interesting and informative.
Also Punahele - Link = http://www.hphhawaii.org/newsletter.htm
More than ever, we need your continued support & donations, because during these economic hardships and money short falls, animals suffer the most. People are having difficulty finding monies for rent, food, gas, medication, etc., and some find their work hour’s cut, or have loss their jobs.
It is these difficult times that an organization like ours (HPH) needs to step up even more to help those to help get their animals sterilized. If we don’t, we will see more and more animals abandoned, abused, and an increase in unwanted animal births. Already, most animal sanctuaries are full and unable to accept any more animals. So please, every penny counts – your donations and/or volunteering your time for HPH fund raisers enables us to continue offering free or affordable spay/neuter to all. Presently, we average between 12-16 spay/neuter a month.
Special note – New temporary shelters are presently being built for the cats at the Keaau Transfer Station, any one wishing to help, please contact me at 968-8279.
