Hui Pono Holoholona – Update  June 15, 2009 June Punahele is coming soon.

Aloha Everyone, 

   Just a few notes &  updates –

1. Our June 6, 2009 Neuter Scooter here in Fern Acres (Mt. View) was very successful with  a total of 79 cats (one was already Neutered via HPH), for a total of 78 cats completing their sterilization without complications.
2. Of the 78 felines, 23 were pets, and 56 felines surgeries were paid for by HPH.  More clarification on this will be in the June Punahele Newsletter. 
3. HPH & Helen Baker extended the Aloha of Kokua by donating hotel accommodations for the nights of  June 5,6, 7^th,  at the Hale Lokahi in Volcano for the Veterinarian family.   Special thanks to Mable, Ron, & Father DeCosta of the Hale Lokahi. 
4. Many, many mahalo’s to our volunteers  & trappers – without you, the clinic could not have been possible.  (More details will be in the Punahele.)
5. This Saturday – June 20^th from 1000 to 1200 HPH monthly meeting will be at the Ola’a Community Center.  (Across from the Keaau McDonalds).  Please try to attend, as we have lots on the agenda.  Topics on the Agenda are – Sponsoring the next Neuter Scooter coming in July, yard sale this June 27, and focusing on obtaining our 20 acres for HPH animal sanctuary/working with boys/girls clubs/seniors and horse therapeutic program for the abused/and handicapped challenged children/teenagers. 
6. On  June 27^th Sat, here in Mt. View (Fern Acres) we are having a yard and plant sale.  (Plants donated my Corrine Stefanko.) Starting early - 8:00am.
7. We need your items – for June 27 yard sale – we will come to pick up.  As you know, monies generated from our fundraising efforts pays for the S/N surgeries, and helps people helping animals.  Please call 968-8279 for pick up, or directions to drop off.   {Address for yard sale – 11-3436 Hibiscus Street in Fern Acres off of South Kulina Road in Mt. View.  ******We also need towels and adult T-Shirts to be donated as it will be used for the cats as bedding in the Live Traps after their surgery for our next Neuter Scooter. ******
