Description
An educational and training list oriented toward North American pleasure riders who want to have a special relationship / bond with their Icelandic Horses (IceHorses). Our educational and training methods lean towards good horsemanship; relationship training, and state of the art methods; equine bio-mechanics, using the least amount of well-fitting tack as possible; with the goals to helping the horse become soft, flexible, comfortable, and obtain self-carriage, for a naturally gaited horse. We are pro-active and advocate for the Icelandic Horse. We do not employ "show" methods, nor discuss or promote what may be considered "traditional" methods.
All posts must be in plain text format and edited/trimmed. Posts criticizing the list and posts not courteous to others will be deleted.
Please do not send jokes, virus alerts, forwards, or other off-topic
material to the list. Do not cross-post to other lists.
Advertising is not allowed on the list. If you have something to sell (horses, tack, saddles) or to promote (clinics, trainers, etc.), please contact the list owner privately at iceryder @ gmail.com. All new subscribers are moderated for adherence to list rules.
If the subject changes, please change the subject title; do not include the previous subject in the new subject title (it challenges the integrity of the archives and reduces the capability of the search engine).

Thanks, Susan. I did ride her. Trot is flat out lovely. Canter is a trained showring rocking chair Western lope. She picked up her leads beautifully. I

I like her. She looks well balanced, and has enough wither to keep the saddle from slipping to the side when mounting and dismounting. She is trotting relaxed

God rewarded me by giving me the day off for the storm when its just a nice breezy blustery rain. Its supposed to get 50 mph before its over but that's not bad
