This is a mailing list for those who have free-roaming, indoor-outdoor cats (cats who have owners who care for them, but are allowed unsupervised time to roam freely outdoors).

Indoor-outdoor vs. indoor-only cats is a contentious topic, often leading to heated debate. Owners of indoor-outdoor cats often find a less-than-welcome response from more general cat groups.

The group was formed to provide a safe, non-threatening environment for these cat owners to discuss issues related to their indoor-outdoor cats. Members are welcome to discuss any topic related to their indoor-outdoor cat(s).

This group is NOT
- for the discussion of feral cats. There ar other groups appropiate for such cats.
- intended to be an advocacy group to promote indoor-outdoor cats.
