Welcome to Israel Animal Rescue, the English network for animal rescuers and caretakers in Israel on the web. We are here to help offer support, guidance and help with issues that range from rescuing animals, illnesses, care taking, adopting, fostering, lost and found and more. Here are some tips and requests:

PLEASE HELP WITH WATERING AND FEEDING THE HOMELESS Many of the stranded and homeless animals struggle here to survive. Please put out water bowls and food if possible. Thanks!

RESCUES One tool that has been of great help to many is the digital camera, in cases of lost/found/injured/rehoming animals. Being specific about places, times and geography to expedite help asap. Having a sense of humor can prevent burnout. But keeping things in perspective and in relation to the situation can save a lot of people a lot of work and worry. This is a group for English speakers but there are many groups in Israel that are in Hebrew. We can help put you in touch with them so you can get the word out to as many people as possible.

LOST ANIMALS Most animals are returned to their homes within a few short days after their disappearance. After this chances are reduced, but never impossible. Here too photos are so very important. Post here and we will do all we can to help you find a lost animal or an owner.
