Welcome to the wonderful world of Rochester's wacky weather. LOL
After a beautiful day in the 60's yesterday, we were woken up at
around 1:30-2:00 a.m. by very bad thunder and lightning, rain and
high winds.
By the time I was ready to go to work it was still in the 60's, but
another bad T&L storm was making it's way thru Rochester. There were
warnings on the radio and some people did lose their power, (this
should not be confused with the people who lost their power the nite
before, because of a squirrel chewing on a sub-stations lines :-)
When I arrived at work, a little before 7:00 a.m., most of the storm
had moved through the city, but there was still alot of lightning
flashes off in the distance and the skies look ominous. The temps
were still very mild, but they did drop during the day.
As I was walking up to the building, I was lucky enough to see either
M or K flying around the cone of the tower before landing there.
This is the very top portion of the tower. Because of what we were
able to observe from Shaky's site, I'll just bet this was Kaver on
one of his early morning visits.
Well, as the day went on, it just got worse. By lunch time it was
very cold (low 50's?) and sleeting. It almost looked like s---. :-)
I didn't see either of them at lunch. They were hopefully somewhere
keeping warm and dry.
Tomorrow they're calling for a day in the 40's and a chance of s---.
(Hey, I figure if I don't type it, it won't happen. LOL)
Actually, they're saying that it will go up into the 70's by Saturday.
Take care all......
