For lovers of an Australia working dog, the Koolie, originating in Australia in the mid 1800's. The Koolie is a working dog that excels at all forms of stockwork, agility, obedience, tracking and active family life. They will work sheep, cattle, dairy cattle, goats, horses, pigs, poultry and children. Koolies are very active dogs that require mental stimulation, including good interaction with people every day. They are not a dog to be left in a backyard to their own devices for extended periods as they will make their own entertainment. Koolies respond well to positive reinforcement and do not need agressive training methods.
