Calling corgis, corgi mixes and corgi-wannabes! ! The Annual Kentucky Corgi
Picnic will take place this coming Saturday, September 19th, at Edie Bain's
farm near Warsaw, KY. The fun will commence at 11 AM and will continue until
everyone is frapped out. There will be food, games, contests and a great
auction to benefit CorgiAid. CRANKY (Corgi Rescue & Adoption of Northern KY)
will be providing hot dogs and hamburgers. We ask that you bring a side dish
to share, drinks of your choice and chairs.
The Ramada Inn at Sparta, KY (the closest hotel) has given us a great rate,
and a reduced pet fee. However, if you wish to take advantage of this, you
MUST call the hotel at 859-567-7223 no later than Tuesday, September 15.
Make sure you tell them you're with the Kentucky Corgi Picnic.
The address of the farm is 231 Sayresville Rd, Warsaw, KY. Map programs and
GPS will get you close, but BEWARE: They will all tell you to turn off SR
455 onto Sayresville Rd. THIS IS WRONG!!! The road you turn on to is "Dry
Creek". After 1/2 mile, you take the right fork of a "Y" and THEN you're on
Sayresville. 231 is 1/4 mile from the "Y" on the left. We'll have the corgi
flag flying at the bottom of the driveway. If you still manage to get lost,
call us at 859-653-1321 and we'll send out a search party!

PM Subject: [kycorgipicnic] Time of picnic, and some other stuff.
Well, we are planning on attending the picnic this year. I'm anxious to meet our fluffycult member from Australia, Fiona. I'm also planning on bringing some deep dish pizza, that I need to know I'll have access to an oven. Fiona has been teased about how unamerican it is to eat pizza with a fork and knife, and I want her to experience some Chicago style deep dish pizza. This is the type that may be hard to pick up with your fingers.
I'm also going to add a piece of my hand made jewelry for the auction. Not sure which item I'll have ready though.
I was talking to hubby and he asked me what the time will be for the picnic, and I'm guessing we are talking eastern time.
We are looking forward to our first Ky corgi picnic.
Judy & Gizmo
The picnic will start at 11 AM, or whenever people show up. Oven will
be available in the house.

September 19 will be the 3rd annual Kentucky Corgi Picnic at CRANKY's farm
in Warsaw, KY. We hope you, your corgis and corgi-wannabe's will attend.
There will, as always, be food, games for the corgis, a silent auction to
benefit CorgiAid, and great company.
We also still need items for the silent auction, so if have something you'd
like to donate, please let me know at ebain@....

I set up a Facebook profile where I can post my pictures, videos and events and I want to add you as a friend so you can see it. First, you need to join Facebook! Once you join, you can also create your own profile.

Mark this date on your calendar!! September 19, 2009 will be the 3rd Annual
Kentucky Corgi Picnic in Warsaw, KY!
We will have food, games, contests, and of course, a terrific silent auction to
benefit CorgiAid! We already have many one-of-a-kind items coming in, including
a special gift bag all the way from the corgis in Tennysea!! Auntie Susie handed
it over with her own personal paw, so you KNOW it has to be wonderful! We will
post the website for the on-line portion of the auction in late August.
We have talked most earnestly to Da Boss, and He has promised to try to keep all
hurricanes away from Kentucky on the day!! Hopefully, we will have wonderful
warm weather!
We have discovered kindred spirits at the Ramada Inn at Sparta, KY, which is the
closest hotel. They have agreed to give us a VERY good rate, since we have
CORGIS!! Please, when you call to make reservations, tell them that you are
coming for the "Kentucky Corgi Picnic". This is a very nice hotel, closest to
the site, close to restaurants and casinos. They are giving us almost a 50%
discount over their usual rates, and lowering the pet fee from $25 per night to
$10 per night....no matter how many corgis you bring. I know you will
appreciate this and respect their grounds. We will have poop buckets available
for "deposits".

The online bidding for the TN Corgi Picnic silent auction for CorgiAid
ends Sunday, May 10th at midnight EDT.

Bidding will resume in person at the TN Corgi Picnic Sunday, May 17th.
Picnic bidding ends at 3:00, and the winners will be notified in a few days.
Our auction already has over $2000 in bids, and our picnic friends are
bringing in more items to be bid on at the picnic. Thanks to all who have
donated and who have bid! This will help a lot of homeless corgis and corgi
mixes get healthy so they can find new homes.
Hope a lot of you can be with us for the picnic. We have a good crowd
coming and are looking forward to a fun weekend while we help CorgiAid!

It has been decided, after much meshing of various factors, that the Kentucky Corgi Picnic will take place on Saturday, September 19. There will be, of course, food, a silent auction to benefit CorgiAid, and most of the usual games: bobbing for hot dogs, best bunny butt, finest tail and of course, the ever popular corgi lure coursing. However, it is most likely that we will have to cancel the "airborne corgi" distance competition, since hopefully we will NOT have a hurricane this year!
The site is Edie Bain's farm in Warsaw, KY, which is just off I-71 between Louisville & Cincinnati.
Do we have any volunteers to help with the auction? PLEASE?
Ahh, come on Edie. It was fun sitting on the deck and literally watching the world go by. Maggie will be much better supervised this year to avoid the "Horse Hocky Rolling" competition. Cathy

Tristan had to recieve 4 SG-1 critiques before he could be awarded the

The SG1 is the highest a judge can rate a puppy. meaning IE EXCELLENT.
My little Tristan got 4 and he won the Herding Puppy group and got to
go on to Puppy Best in Show. I am Sooooooo Proud.
