I will be out of town this week but back in time for the picnic. Hope
to make it by early afternoon. I am really looking forward to meeting
everyone.
Cathy
Can we bring auction items to the picnic or is it too late?

I agree. We'll have tables there where items can be displayed. And
in response to Merinda's question, yes, please do bring more Silent
Auction items to the picnic!

We have some wonderful donations for the silent auction to benefit
CorgiAid! You don't have to come to the picnic to bid and win these
items.
We are still accepting items -- email Ellen de Graffenreid at
eefdg@... if you have something you would like to donate.
Please note, there are two pages in the album so don't forget to look
at all of the photos! Click on the photo name/description to see the
minimum bid amount for each item.
To bid: email eefdg@...! All items will also be available for
viewing at the picnic.
Again -- all auction proceeds benefit CorgiAid and the wonderful
angels whose work helps so many corgis in need.

Sounds fine, no hurry. I am stuck working the UofL booth at the State fair until after 7. If you want to connect this weekend, my cell is 287-8994.

Hi Ellen
Yes, I am in Louisville. I am getting ready to go out for a training session. I have been asked to be a rep for Blue Buffalo Holistic Dog Food. Once I get caught up I cab send you a photo. I think I will do a cutting board. I have one here with two very cute corgi pups. I took it at the OH Valley Corgi Specialty Show this past March.
I will give you a shout when I am done with all my other stuff today.
Kathy is a wonderful photographer who does a lot of dog portraits. She did the one of Dylan that is in my signature. I love the picture although Dylan gave us a very hard time that day! She just did portraits of Dixie, too, that I can't wait to get. (Dixie was a much more cooperative subject.)
We're very fortunate to have Kathy and her equipment come to our picnic and I'm sure everyone will want to order portraits of their furkids!

I am going to get most of the items from Marty this weekend and photograph them and get them up on the photos page in the Yahoo! group.
If you could send me a photo of the item (or a representative item) and a description with a rough value, I'll add it to the list.
Where are you? I'm in Louisville.

Let me know when you are ready to set up for Auction items. Marty already talked to me and I agreed to donate one of my custom made products.
Marty, your purse should be in very soon. I told them it was OK to ship it with an order I put in after yours to save on shipping. I figured you would be OK with that.
I will also be happy to set up & take portraits of everyone's lovely corgis & corgi wanna bees. VBG As long as I don't book a wedding or some other event. I look forward to coming with my corgis!
I'll be working on getting all items to date up this weekend and can add the rest as they come in!

Kathy,
Ellen, E. de Graffenreid"eefdg@yahoo.com, has graciously agreed to handle the silent auction and she is putting it online, too! I think you can probably email her a photo of the item and a description and the
minimum bid and she can post it.
I plan to meet with Ellen tomorrow and take her some items I've collected for the auction.
Thanks so much for bringing equipment and samples to the picnic so that attendees can have their dogs professionally photographed there and see samples of some of the things you can have made with those photos! I know it will be a huge hit! I know I can't wait to get my purse with the photo of the adorable Dixie! _,___

Hi! My name is Stephanie and I live in western KY with my daughter and our beagle. I used to have a PWC before Amber (beagle), but he passed away right after we got her from a form of leukemia. Where does everyone on here live (that isn't listed already in their profiles)?
I would love to go to the picnic since it's kinda close -- maybe by then, I might have another dog to bring (a PWC)?

Great! I will. Be sure to let anyone else you know about it and let me know if
they
indicate they're coming so I can have a rough head count. I'm also
going to send a notice to the Ohio Valley Pem Club. We have a good
base of invitees. :)

YAY, I'm glad you're in! The only thing I know right now that we'll
need is a folding table, card table or larger size. Otherwise, I
think we're in good shape. I hope you bring your whole crew!
Oh, and we need some other guests! Do you, by chance, have a list of
the names of those members of the Central KY herding club (or whatever
the name is?) I'd like to invite them.
Thanks,
Marty

If people will email me photos and a brief description of silent
auction items I will start putting together the list and will handle
silent auction setup and the business end of the auction.
Please make sure photos are NOT huge files. I can post them to my
FLICKR -- I'll make a special set labeled Kentucky Corgi Auction. My
FLICKR ID is crgilvr!

The Kentucky Corgi picnic will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2007 from 10 - 4 at 231 Sayersville Road in Warsaw, Kentucky. We plan on having a silent auction to benefit CorgiAid, games and surprises galore! All Corgis, tailed or not, and Corgi wannabes are welcome.
Bring an item for the silent auction and a dish to share, chairs and crates if you need one although Edie Bain, our hostess, tells me she has kennels if needed for `time outs', and lots of energy for frapping. Edie's yard is totally fenced in for safe play. Visit our website at http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/kycorgipicnic/ for updates and a map to the location.
Check back often for more news!

I'm 'in' Marty. I'll do what I can, so let me know how I can help.
I've never been to a Corgi picnic before, so let me know, offlist to my
msn email address if appropriate, what I should prepare for, what to
bring, etc.
Thinking I may bring all if I'm up to it! ;-)

I had promised Marty that I would help out. I can be reached at the
email above or 502-287-8994. I have two auction items to donate and
am willing to help run just about anything that can be done from my
computer.

been reading Corgi-l)
Hi Marty! Well, here we are. I've made you a moderator (and taken you
off moderation, which I set for all new members....it keeps the
spammers out). I've already invited Millie and Susie Noel. Now that
you're a moderator, you can start inviting other people, too.
