The objective of the Association is to advance the science and art of veterinary medicine and its relationship to the public’s health, biological science, and agriculture in the state of Louisiana. The Association, while providing a forum for the discussion of issues of importance to the veterinary profession and for the development of official positions, will also strive to foster, maintain and enlarge public understanding of the role and scope of the veterinary profession. Emphasis will be placed on promotion of goodwill among members and seeking protection of their rights and privileges along with promotion of high standards of veterinary care through continuing education. The Association is the authorized voice for the state of Louisiana for the profession in presenting its views to government, academia, agriculture, pet owners, the media, and the other concerned publics.
