We would like to welcome the new members to
Monkey Tales.
Meet some of the fun loving residents of Mindy's.
This issue will introduce you to Calvin and Louise.
Calvin is a Pig Tail Macaque, who arrived on
November 14, 2003. His exact age is unknown.
Linda is guessing that when he arrived he was
approximately 15 months old. He is from California,
where he had been found running loose. On his
first day at Mindy's he jumped, climbed, tumbled
and rolled, as well as playing with the swings and
sliding down the slide. Also, every toy in his
enclosure was investigated. He really tired himself
out, and he slept very well that night. His favorite
toy is a battery operated robot car. By pressing
on the arm of the robot, it talks, the head turns
and lights come on.
Louise is a Pig Tail Macaque that arrived from
Louisiana on December 30, 2003. Her exact
age is unknown. Linda is guessing that she is
approximately 5 years old. Upon arrival, Louise
left her pet carrier and started eating a bunch
of grapes. She then entered her heated house
and sat down on a blanket. Louise enjoys
eating oranges, grapes, peanuts, lettuce and
bananas. Her favorite food is sweet potatoes.
Louise sleeps with some of her favorite things,
which includes a busy box and 2 tennis balls.
Mindy's could really use some volunteers. The
sanctuary is located in Newcastle, Oklahoma.
This is near Oklahoma City. If you live in the
area, or know someone that would be interested in
volunteering, please contact Linda 405-387-4354.
If she is unavailable, there is an answering machine
for you to leave a message.
When you make a $25.00 donation or sponsor a
monkey you will receive a Flip Album on CD. You
will view monkeys playing, eating and socializing.
This is all set to music.

Mindy's has the largest enclosures of any Primate
Sanctuary, complete with wooden shelves and
perches for the monkeys to sit on and climb to.
Please bear in mind that many of the pictures
are taken at an angle, as the monkeys can be
sitting as high as 15 feet up in the air. This
could make the enclosures look smaller than
they actually are.

When shopping online, please check to see if
the store you will be making your purchases
from is listed with at http://www.igive.com
If it is and you choose Mindy's as your charity
of choice the sanctuary will receive a portion
of your purchase donated, at no cost to you.

General Fund.
If you know an animal lover and don't know
what to give as a gift, we have the solution.
Send a donation in their name. A card will be
