I am currently studying two ecosystems on the West coast, a Pacific Rainforest and a Southern Coastal foothills. I see red tail hawks, coopers hawks, and eagles frequently; rattlesnakes; bobcats and on more than one occasion, cougar - once, very close indeed. Coyotes frequently walk through my camp. I also study more prosaic creatures: frogs, insects and spiders.The important thing is to identify what the plants and animals need help with and to take steps to improve the quality of life thereat.
