I am in Lafayette (San Francisco East Bay), fairly
near the Walnut Creek border. We have 2 1/2 acres,
fenced and cross-fenced, so there is room for one or
possibly two small horses. I'd prefer only one until
my grandson is old enough to show a commitment. We
kept a Shetland here years ago, and it was so fun
having her follow me around the yard as I tended the
orchard, and of course, I never had to hire anyone to
cut the lawn back then. We are only a short walk from
the closest trail, but I plan to get a trailer--thank
goodness we kept the Suburban even after the children
grew up.
