So often I see people who want pets but don't know where to get them. Posting a pet that you would like to find a home for, especially older pets could make the difference between life and death for your pet. My hope is that this club will be the starting point for the forming of an action group in Southwest Oklahoma to rescue pets. This will include the catch and release program and seniors for seniors. Too many pets are being brought into this world only to be put to death in pounds or worse to suffer the cruelties of our streets. This club will also serve to make people aware of abuse to animals and what we can do to make the laws and punishments harsher on the offenders. Right now neglect and abuse is not an issue for law-makers in Oklahoma and therefore many livestock are also suffering from abuse or neglect. Please join this club and make a difference in Oklahoma. Also support you local humane society or create one in your community if you can. There really are more people out there who care about the well being of animals if we can all just get together and work to make the difference. Get involved and make sure you know the difference between a no kill shelter and a shelter that kills to make room for others. So often shelters are thought to be no-kill when in fact they still use the gas chamber-a very cruel and often ineffective way of killing. This site is to discuss this, post ads for adoption and post alerts when the public needs to be notified of a shelter that is in need or not doing what they say they are.
