This group is keyed towards persons that are have an interest in establishing a Dog Park in the West End of Henrico County, VA. In the beginning we aligned PAWS for a PARK with the Richmond Dog Owners Group, R-DOG, in order to pool our resources in getting more Off Leash Parks started. Over the past few years, we have been partnering with the Richmond SPCA to help with our Non Profit status as well as having a place to make donations to. At this point there is only one in the Richmond area, Barker Field, and it is not centrally located to the West End. We are working with the Richmond SPCA and their 501c3 program for accepting donations. The timeline right now is looking like 2012 will be when the park will start construction. Any help is appreciated. You can go to the Richmond SPCA to make a donation or send then direct to their offices. Please make sure that you put a note on it specifying that you would like the donation to go to the West End Dog Park Effort.
