The Peninsula Dog Owners YAHOO Group aka P-DOG has moved!! Please join us at: http://www.meetup.com/PeninsulaDogOwnersGroup/ P-DOG seeks to become a dedicated active group involved in creating dog-friendly communities throughout the San Francisco Peninsula. P-DOG intends to be an action oriented community, with active, vibrant members willing to 'get involved' even if on a tiny level. P-DOG does not seek to replace any existing groups. There are no limitations on membership. We are currently simply a "meetup" group. However long term goals of P-DOG include the following: A. Eventually establish the group as a 501c Non-Profit Organization B. Organize social events that will enhance the lives of dogs and their owners. C. Support the creation and development of off-leash dog parks in the communities who do not currently have them. D. Support existing dog-friendly parks and businesses (both on-leash off-leash) by organizing dog owners for an effective coalition of support. Some FUTURE SUGGESTED goals of P-DOG might be: -Poll the dog owners/users of each park within the peninsula for it's effectiveness, improvements desired, maintenance shortfalls, current community involvement level. -Gain the involvement of these communities by gathering a minimum of 3 volunteer representatives each dog park wishing representation within the peninsula. -Build a community who will address improvements maintenance challenges of existing LOCAL public dog parks and exercise areas. -Spearhead fund-raising activities to support public dog parks across the peninsula Sound like fun? Well, if you just wanna "meetup" for some good times that is great too!
