Yes, just the plain nozzle. I did hold her skin down -- like with my
hand but with fingers spread, to keep the skin from being pulled into
the nozzle. Yes, I tried it on myself first to see if it was indeed
painful. It's a funky feeling but not painful. Madison had those
tufts of hair all over the place. I've checked her numerous times for
fur mites -- but they usually are further up -- closer to the shoulder
blades and create bare patches. Madi had none of this or the dandruff
appearance of fur mite....gunk. I just think it's a bad, heavy shed.
After combing her for a few minutes - which started loosening up lots
more fur, the vac did help (if only helping both Madison and I breathe
better!). (And I too had a bagless that I loved - but it only lasted a
yr before the belt would fall off EVERYTIME i'd go to use the thing. I
think it was a dirt devil. It got to be that you had to keep a
screwdriver with the cleaner so you could take it apart to fix the belt
before use. And then the gizmo that keeps it upright died, so you
ALWAYS had to keep the handle braced against a wall or it'd fall over.
My DH got sick and tired of hearing me bitch about the vac cleaner that
one night he said "Fine, how much is one of those dysons - i'll buy you
one tonight on the condition that I never have to listen to you bitch
about a cleaner again..." ) Some women whine until they get new shoes
or fine jewelry. I whine and I get cleaning supplies. ;-) <she says
jokingly - my DH does indeed treat me very well and I will never lack
for the latest-greatest techno gadget. It pays to be married to a geek
sometimes!>
He's scared to use the dyson for fear he'll break it. (I think that's
a lame excuse though...just wants to get out of cleaning)
