I would have him look at renting a REALLY GOOD vacuum and then buying one that's
more in his price range. There's no sense getting a cheap model and not have it
do the job. Many repair places also rent. We have a Dyson, which is way too
pricy for him, but I'd almost recommend a bag vacuum for the fleas, just so
there's less chance of them escaping. But talk to a vacuum place and see what
they have to say.
