PI Birders,

Web pages are up to date with all reports received. Shorebird "fall"
migration is underway, with many Short-billed Dowitchers now on the
refuge, many Least Sandpipers, and a few other species. See the
sightings pages for details. The Oystercatchers seen on Emerson Rocks
on the fifth and eighth have not been reported again.

Tom's software continues to strive to keep you up to date on all
changes in the officialdom of AOU bird-naming-hood. See if you can
find the common species name change now incorporated in the web pages.
It's one I've been waiting for for a long time, as have many others.

I'll give the answer in my next post, given I don't have another
senior moment and forget all about it.

I wonder if e-Bird is up to date.

Good birding,
