Welcome to a place where we talk about how to train your bull terrier in day-to-day behaviors, using methods which teach the dog to work for reward rather than to avoid reproof.

The training (and discussion) focus will be solely on classical and operant conditioning, using "positive reinforcement" and "negative punishment" to achieve desired behaviors. (And yes, we'll explain these terms).

Some of us are professional dog trainers; most are bull terrier-training hobbyists. If you have a serious behavioral problem with your bull terrier, you should seek professional help in your area; we can try and get a referral for you, if you'd like.

However, because of our training methods, we are eternal optimists: no problem is too small, few dogs are untrainable, and bull terriers are a ton of fun to train using these methods!
